Why Every Employee Needs an EP Score Rating

Why Do I Need an EP Score?

At Employee Performance Scores, we provide a free members only platform that helps job seekers improve their chances of getting hired by businesses that are actively hiring. We achieve this by giving employers valuable insight into an employee’s work performance, helping them make better-informed hiring decisions.

We believe that every employee has the potential to be a top performer, and our goal is to help employers identify and invest in those individuals.

The Advantage of Having an EP Score Rating

The biggest benefit of having an EP Score Rating is visibility. Employee Performance Scores is the #1 platform where employers and hiring managers go to find candidates who have been pre-reviewed and recommended by other employers.

When applying for a job, you’re often competing with multiple applicants for the same position. Having an EP Score gives you a distinct advantage over those who don’t.

Stand Out in Interviews & Earn Higher Pay

Your EP Score doesn’t just help you land interviews—it can also impact your starting pay.

Employers typically offer conservative “starting pay” to new hires because they don’t yet know how the employee will perform. With a strong EP Score, you overcome that uncertainty and put yourself in a better position to secure higher-paying roles right from the start.

Make Career Changes Easier

As time goes on, many people seek new jobs or even entirely new careers—whether for better working conditions, higher pay, or shorter commutes. These days, breaking into a new field without prior experience can be challenging.

Having a good EP Score Rating makes it easier for employers to invest in you and provide training, knowing you already have proven work ethics.

Take Control of Your Job Search

Your membership dashboard includes an “Actively Seeking Employment” status button:

  • ON: Employers see your profile across all industries you’ve selected.

  • OFF: Your profile is hidden from employers.

The days of chasing job listings are over. Simply turn on your status, and employers looking for talent will now come to you.

Start With a 3-Star Rating — Improve From There

When you become a member, you’re given a default 3-star rating. We believe anyone seeking an EP Score is confident in their work ethic and wants to stand out as a reliable, high-performing employee.

If you believe you’re better than a 3-star “Average” employee, it’s up to you to improve your ranking—and the process is simple.

How to Request a Performance Review

Within your membership dashboard, use the Employer Invite tool to request a review:

  1. Enter your employer’s information.

  2. EP Scores sends a secure review request directly to them.

  3. Once your employer submits the review, your EP Score Rating updates instantly.

This streamlined process ensures a smooth and efficient review experience for both you and your employer, keeping your profile current and competitive.

Quarterly Reviews Keep Your Score Accurate

EP Scores uses quarterly performance reviews—every 90 days—to keep your score current and accurate. Frequent reviews give you more opportunities to improve your EP Score, recover from setbacks, and show consistent growth.

Your EP Score Rating is not an average of all past reviews—the latest performance review always determines your current rating, ensuring your score reflects your most recent performance.
